Ricky Evans's wines have earned a loyal following for good reason: they are vivid, site-driven and consistently overdeliver for the price. Through the Two Tonne Tasmania label, he explores vineyards across the island's diverse sub-regions, capturing the nuances that make each corner of Tasmania distinct. The 2025 releases are especially compelling, bringing together a polished and expressive TMV Chardonnay alongside three Pinot Noirs that speak clearly of place — bright and layered in the Tamar, broader and darker in the south, and finer, more mineral on the Freycinet Coast. These are pure, polished and highly drinkable wines with real regional character, delivering a level of quality and site expression rarely found at this end of the spectrum.
