Drawn from a small parcel (0.47 hectares) of vines replanted in 1990, the first Domaine bottling of this wine dates back to 1970. The vines sit in the Gémeaux lieu-dit, which borders Griotte Chambertin. The soils here are particularly poor and rocky, typically producing wines of great minerality and longevity. This cuvée now sees a longer time on skins but with a gentler extraction. It’s all the better for it. The 2022 was aged for 18 months in oak barrels averaging 20 years and was bottled unfiltered.
