Germain’s 0.25-hectare parcel of 35-year-old vines in Le Poruzot Dessus, under the Narvaux terroir, was inherited from his father-in-law, François Jobard. Antoine Jobard is Jean-François’s brother-in-law and therefore his neighbour here. Comparing the wines of these two producers, both shipped by Bibendum, can be a lot of fun! It’s a fascinating Premier Cru, producing earthy, layered wines, reminiscent of Limozin but with more depth and flesh. The 2023 is one of the finest examples we have shipped!
