Nicole Lamarche Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cras 2023

Has long been produced here, Les Cras, or Aux Cras, is tucked in between Aus Boudots and Les Murgers at the Vosne end of the village. This vineyard can produce some of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ most mineral wines, and that is certainly the case here. As you would expect from Nicole Larmarche, this is Nuits-Saint-Georges in its most elegant guise. It has the finesse and fine tannins of Vosne, and the earthiness of Nuits. The vines here were planted in 1979, and so are now close to 50 years old. The 2023 balances dark berry fruit, spice and savoury earthy nuances with silky tannins and impressive length.
