Henriques & Henriques has established an impeccable reputation as one of the top sources of high quality Madeira. It is the leading independent Madeira shipping house and practises an uncompromising devotion to the quality of its vineyards and wines.
Vintage Madeira, or Garrafeira, must be aged for at least 20 years in cask and a further two years in bottle before release. Put simply, these compelling Garrafeira wines can be considered Henriques’ Grand Cru offering.
A Verdelho of quiet poise and refinement. Bright in the glass, it shows an old gold colour with greenish nuances. The nose is aromatic, offering dried fruits, honey and a touch of old wood. Medium dry on the palate, with light acidity, it is fresh and beautifully balanced. The body is medium, with dried fruits at the fore and wood resting gently in the background, before a long finish.
