One of the Premiers Crus lying close to the village, Aux Beaux Bruns lies on the same latitude as Les Charmes and shares the site’s fleshy and textural personality but with a much more open, earlier-drinking persona, and an earthy/rocky complexity. The soils here have a lot of red clay and plenty of limestone pebbles, and it’s always the first of the Barthod sites to be harvested. Barthod has 0.73 hectares of 65-year-old vines that produce an aromatic, fleshy and hedonistic Chambolle.
