Named after the narrow track at the top of the Clos de l'Arlot from which birdsong drifts down from the forest above, Mont des Oiseaux is a tiny-production Premier Cru drawn from two plots: one at the top of Clos, with steep, white and pink limestone soils, and some younger vines at the base of the Clos. Made from 100% destemmed fruit, fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and aged 15 months in French oak (40% new), this is a wine of real charm that can be enjoyed young or cellared with confidence.
