The 2026 blend is 93.5% Chenin, 4.5% Grigio, and 2% Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc/Aligoté/Semillon. These grapes are grown on the biodynamic vines of the Blind Corner vineyard in Margaret River, where the soils are predominantly sand over pea gravel with a granite base.
The 2025/26 season on the vineyard featured a wet winter followed by a mild, unhurried spring. The summer saw even ripening with no major heat spikes, creating ideal conditions for a long, steady harvest. Harvest kicked off in mid-February and ran through to late March at a measured pace. There was minimal disease pressure and strong Marri blossom activity kept the birds off without the need for netting. The whites came in with excellent yields and outstanding flavour intensity.
This wine is a blend of mainly two blocks of estate fruit, harvested over four separate dates. The fruit was foot-crushed in open pots for wild ferment and hand plunged for 4-6 days before being pressed to stainless steel and seasoned oak to finish fermentation. This approach imparts a subtle barrel ferment character and texture while maintaining the wine's fresh, balanced profile.
