Arnoux-Lachaux Nuits-Saint-Georges 2022

This comes from 1.42 hectares of low-yielding vines spread across seven parcels in the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, starting just beyond the town and approaching the boundary with Vosne-Romanée. The vineyards are of similar size, and five of the plots are over 40 years old. From south to north, the lieux-dits are Les Brulées, Aux Tuyaux, Aux Saint-Jacques, Aux Lavières and Au Bas de Combe on the Vosne border. As always, with this wine, we see the delicacy that Charles Lachaux is chasing. It comes through so clearly in an appellation like Nuits. This was incredibly floral from Clayver, with a super-complex palate of rose, tar and red fruit.
