Domaine Goisot Saint-Bris Exogyra Virgula Blanc 2024

Saint-Bris is the only appellation for Sauvignon Blanc in Burgundy. The wine is named after the small fossilised oysters found in its soils, and these very stony, marly Kimmeridgian limestone soils, very well farmed, gift a wine that’s nothing like the stereotype of the variety. Rather, it is far more seductive, layered and complex (it is a white Burgundy, after all). The vines are aged 15 to 40 years and the wine was raised only in tank for 12 to 13 months. Ripe, spicy nose leading to a pulpy, honeyed, stone fruit palate. Aromatic, fine and long.
