Sourced from a collection of old-vine Albillo Mayor planted between 1891 and 1910 across the Duero Valley, this is a beautifully characterful white from high-altitude sites (770–1000m) on limestone and clay soils. Fruit is hand-harvested, destemmed and given a short period on skins before fermenting naturally in stainless steel, with no malolactic and no additions.
In 2023, the season’s split personality plays to Lovamor’s strengths; early-picked parcels bring brightness and line, while later fruit adds texture and depth. Textural, distinctive and quietly compelling.
