The variety that started it all, and also the one Bryan is best known for. The 2025 is a blend of fruit from Hilltops (the Grove and Bit of Heaven vineyards), Canberra and the estate, grown on varied soils that are mostly granite-based duplex. The fruit comes from three clones: MAT6, MAT7 and VCR23.
2025 was a great year, with good-sized crops, no weather events, a mild summer and an early harvest. The grapes were whole-berry fermented and held on skins for three to four weeks. The wine was then pressed to mainly seasoned barriques and foudre, where it matured for two years.
