Made exclusively with Meadowbank Pinot Noir from the Wedding Block, hidden deep in the Derwent Valley. The Meadowbank team brings serious sparkling credentials: Gerald Ellis, the legendary Tasmanian vigneron, has tended to and grown grapes for House of Arras, while cult winemaker Peter Dredge has worked alongside and been mentored by Brian Croser (Petaluma and Croser Sparkling) and Ed Carr (House of Arras).

The 2021 Blanc de Noirs was tapped by Nick Ryan for his Top 100 Wines of 2025, and the 2022 is just as exciting. It was left on tirage for 3 years and disgorged in late 2025 with a minimal intervention dosage liqueur; only 3g/L of sugar was added, which makes this wine super dry in style (Extra Brut). This allows the wine to showcase an authentic ‘sense of place’ experience, with trademark Meadowbank flavours and seasonal characteristics detectable between vintage releases.

Reviews

"Derwent Valley pinot noir, tirage for three years and disgorged in September '23. Crunchy red berry and red apple fruit and a bouncy, fine bead. Notes of sliced fennel and mushrooms, soft spice, proving dough and pastries, white flowers and sea spray. Some creamy tones on the palate show great tension and crisp, briny acid drive. Great length of flavour and a sapid, minerally draw as the wine fades. Excellent!"
94 points, Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
"Light yellow with a vigorous bead and collar of foam. Yeasty and red-apple fruit aromas on the nose. LIvely acidity adds zing and drive to the palate, which is refined and long. A touch of nougat. Lively, refreshing wine with a cleansing dry finish that lingers long."
