Lambert Crudo Rosé 2025

From the 42-year-old vines of Rosehill Vineyard in Dixons Creek, the 2025 Crudo Rosé is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a relatively cool site within the warmer northern end of the Yarra Valley, and it’s managed sustainably. The fruit was whole bunch pressed to old oak hogsheads, where it fermented with indigenous yeasts and went through spontaneous malolactic conversion. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. The season began with a warmer, drier summer before shifting into a cooler autumn with good rainfall, bringing an early-ish harvest. Vinous and savoury with a mineral appeal, it’s got al fresco dining written all over it.
