Dec 25)","description":"Les Rouges Maisons is the result of long work and attention in both the vineyard and the winery, all to reveal the richness and complexity of Pinot Noir with finesse. The vines, planted in 1983 in Chavot, grow in fairly deep soil with a strong presence of clay, flint and schist over a chalky subsoil, and are farmed with respect for nature. The grapes are left to ripen fully, picked by hand and pressed traditionally. A slow first fermentation in barrels is followed by malolactic fermentation and 18 months on fine lees in barrel before bottling.
