Lachaux’s 0.7 hectares of vines are more than 50 years old and sit just below the Château Gris castle, accounting for a large chunk of this tiny vineyard. Maison Joseph Drouhin owns almost all the remaining acreage. Hence, the vineyard is hardly known, even though I think it makes one of Lachaux’s most intriguing and delicious wines.
