The Barolo of Luciano Sandrone - Le Vigne and Cannubi Boschis - are some of the worlds finest and most coveted Nebbiolo wines. Yet many who revere the Barolo of this producer may not be aware that that he also grows a truly wonderful Dolcetto at a fraction of the price. There is clearly a kind of vinous trickledown theory at work here: Luciano Sandrone's non-Nebbiolo wines are made with the same attention and care as his Barolo and they therefore exhibit the all of the class and elegance that are the hallmarks of this producer’s style.
