Glorious dry Muscats may be rare as hen’s teeth but they do exist.  This idiosyncratic tour de force is certainly one of them.

Horacio Calvente’s dry Moscatel has it in spades. It comes with a brilliant story, too. A wine-mad farmer from the ancient Moorish village of Jete sets out to recover an almost extinct wine style from neglected parcel of old vine Moscatel planted high – 1000m high - in the Sierra Nevada, the mountain range overlooking the Mediterranean.
