In recent years, access to Jean-François Germain’s remarkable white Burgundies has become something of a closed shop. This makes it all the more exciting that Jean-François recently (and unexpectedly) offered us a small parcel of 1er Cru wine from the terrific (and increasingly sought-after) 2007 vintage. Below we offer the Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru recently shipped direct from the Domaine’s cold cellars. Lovers of immaculate white Burgundy should not hesitate.
