Kapi is a super premium 6 Puttonyos produced from a single parcel only, in very limited quantities. It is only produced in exceptional vintages and 1999 was definitely a legendary year (the finest since 1993). This is truly an amazing wine balancing staggering richness with the trademark, racy acidity of Disznoko wines. Close to perfection.
Wine Spectator, May 2004, 94 points, Outstanding "For Riesling aficionados. The acidity crackles like a jolt of electricity in this tautly structured Tokay. Plenty of orange, lemon, apricot and beeswax flavors abound. Light-bodied and balanced toward the acidity, with a fresh, resonant finish. Best from 2005 through 2025".
