This is a wonderful Chianti domaine that was formerly imported by James Broadway. Firstly the wines are stunning; refined, textural, complex and long. Everything else would be meaningless without this reality. Secondly, this is a genuinely artisinal estate; Burgundian in size and run as a utopian, biodiverse farm. In fact, in Italy, Corzano e Paterno are as famous for their sheep cheeses and olive oil as they are for their wines. The elegant, luscious, Sangiovese based reds below are fashioned by talented winemaker Aljoscha Goldschmidt from his steep, rocky vineyards in San Casciano Val di Pesa, roughly halfway between Florence and Siena.
