We have shipped this fabulous Chianti producer since 2008. Corzano was previously imported to Australia by Jamie Broadway: Italophile, cycling fanatic and co-proprietor of the brilliant Gertrude St Enoteca in Fitzroy (Melbourne). In many ways Corzano is the model artisanal Chianti estate. Burgundian in size, it is run as a utopian, bio diverse, organic, self sufficient farm. All the produce is of the highest possible standards. In fact, in Italy, Corzano e Paterno is as famous for their pecorino (sheep’s milk cheeses) and olive oil as they are for their wines.

The wines of Corzano e Paterno are stunning; refined, complex and long. They are the opposite of the obvious, plummy, oaky reds that dominate the Chianti landscape these days. These tangy, luscious, Sangiovese based reds are fashioned by talented winemaker Aljoscha Goldschmidt from his rocky vineyards in San Casciano Val di Pesa, roughly halfway between Florence and Siena.
