Chateau de La Tour: 2009

Note: Two important things have occurred during the writing of this offer. One, the Allen Meadows notes listed below came out and verified what we had already written about these remarkable wines. Secondly the wines have already started selling quickly to previous buyers. We have therefore contacted the Estate and managed to secure some more stocks. Hence the order becomes a pre-arrival (although some wine is already here). As the Meadows notes make clear, these are stunning grand cru wines that you will be proud to have in your cellar. 

Everyone already knows that 2009 was an outstanding vintage in Burgundy. It was a “textbook” year with sunny, yet mild, dry weather late in the growing season, enabling producers to pick perfectly ripe and healthy grapes at precisely the moment they considered ideal. The wines exhibit layers of ripe, supple fruit and elegant, fine tannins. They speak of their vineyards with wonderful clarity and offer a surreal balance on the palate that is impossible to reference.
