Chateau La Rame Traditionnel Sainte Croix Du Mont 2007

Perhaps best remembered for a difficult red wine vintage, the 2007 vintage really came into its own as the weather changed completely giving the producers of liquid gold just what they needed for excellent botrytis development. With hazy and humid mornings, the mist was gradually burned off by the rising sun and clear by midday. Richer than the 2006, this is fine and pure but with a great lift of acidity and a more honeyed topicality to the fruit. The sugar/acidity balance is spot on and so is the value and gastronomic versatility, making this a great pouring option.
